The Singaporean casino market is showing steep growth, aligned with the recovery of the global tourism industry. According to the Singapore Tourism Board and industry sources, major local integrated resorts, including Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa, have reached record revenue levels due to a massive influx of foreign tourists. This is attributed to the post-pandemic surge in travel demand and a heightened preference for integrated entertainment facilities that include casinos.
Success of the Integrated Resort Strategy
The success of Singaporean casinos lies in an integrated resort strategy that extends beyond simple gaming operations. By increasing the revenue share from non-gaming sectors such as shopping, conventions, dining, and performances, the strategy has successfully attracted family tourists. In particular, alongside the expansion of tourism infrastructure promoted by the government, casinos are acting as a key catalyst for increasing the length of stay for international visitors.
